Canada's Secret & Whisper are back with a brand new album this April. Teenage Fantasy boasts 11 brand new songs that all sound unmistakeably like no one else. At first listen, it's clear that Teenage Fantasy picks up right where 08's 'Great White Whale' left off.

The music itself is vast and deep. Hugely engaging, almost challenging guitar riffs and pounding drums once again set the backdrop for Charles Furney's impressive and powerful vocals. The lyrical styles of the first album also make a return, with the songs being largely fuelled by fantasy and epic dream scapes. This is all apperent right from the lead single from the album, 'Warrior (Southern Arrowwood)”. The song is as powerful a statement about the sound of the album as the band could possible produce.

While the album title may have attracted negative attention from some of the bands fans, Furney was quick to jump to the defence of their choice. Writing on the bands Myspace blog: “For all of you that have put a pervy twist on the name Teenage Fantasy, all i can say is gross. But what can you expect these days, arent we all kind of idiots?”

It seems that the formula this band stumbled across for their debut album has remained pretty much the same, but when it's not broken, why fix it?
